Security and Safety (S&S) is pleased to announce that it has been accepted into the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). The journal joins nearly 19,000 other high-quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals that meet DOAJ's strict criteria and are dedicated to promoting open access to scholarly and scientific content.

The term “Metaverse” was first used in the science fiction novel “Snow Crash” in 1992 and describes “a virtual world parallel to the real world”. We are delighted to introduce Security and Safety (S&S), a new international, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open access journal. S&S focuses on Integrated Security and Safety and is supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is led by Editor-in-Chief, Professor Jiangxing Wu, Director of China’s National Digital Switching System Engineering and Technological R&D Center.
